About This

• Five inches wide so the patty arrives in one piece: A standard turner is narrower than a smashed burger, which is why the edges tear on the lift. This solid 5" x 6" blade gets fully underneath, carries the whole patty and its crust together
• Fine beveled edge, gentle on non-stick: The hardened blade is thin enough at the bevel to slide under a crust welded to a flat top and lift it rather than shear it off. On non-stick pans use moderate pressure and smooth strokes
• Full-tang walnut handle, riveted through: The steel runs the full length of a solid American walnut handle and is secured with rivets rather than glue. On a blade this wide, the leverage under a stuck burger is significant
• Hand wash the walnut handle: The stainless blade tolerates a dishwasher; the walnut does not. Machine washing dries the wood out and cracks it over time. Hand wash with warm soapy water, dry promptly
