• Natural Pine Soot Finish - No Synthetic Chemicals:The dark matte finish is derived from Natural Pine Soot, a traditional plant-based mold release agent used in authentic iron casting. It is NOT a chemical paint or Teflon coating. You may see some black residue during the initial wash; this is normal carbonization from the high-temperature kiln process. Simply scrub it away and season the wok to reveal the pure iron surface ready for cooking.
